The roller shutter with each end guided inside a vertical channel (7), has its slats tilted at the top and stacked in layers inside an overhead compartment. As the slats pass round a winding roller across the top, they are guided along a path forming part of a circle, folded in a zig-zag manner, then deposited horizontally in pairs forming the layers. Only one of the end shells supporting the spindle (6) has guides for rollers one end of the slats, controlling the folding action. The rollers project only from alternate slats. Both shells incorporate flanges shaped to guide the outer edges of the slats at the start of formation of the layers. The flanges are in line with guides forming the ends of the stacking compartment, which are retained by resilient locking fingers. |
