1. Device intended to suppress contaminations of deodorisation columns for food oils and fats and to achieve energy savings. 2. The liquid leaving the barometric column C is recovered in a settling vessel 1 fitted with insulation 2 and with baffles 18, 19, 20 and 22. 3. The liquid leaving the settling vessel 1 is sent into a cooling system and then sent back into the barometric column C and into a water ejector 12 where it is used as engine fluid. 4. In a first variation, the cooling system is a refrigerant group, which comprises an evaporator 4 where the liquid is cooled and two condensers 8 and 9. The condenser 8 is enclosed in a vessel 26 fed with liquid emerging from the settling vessel 1. The vessel 26 is in contact with the deodorisation column A to which it passes on the insufflation vapour emitted by virtue of the energy supplied by the condenser 8. The condenser 9 is used to extract from the refrigerator group the energy unused by the condenser 8. 5. In a second variation, the cooling system is a vessel 34 in contact with the settling vessel 1 and with a compressor 36, which operates as a downstream vacuum pump and brings about the evaporation of a part of the water arriving in the vessel 34. The steam thus created is compressed by the compressor 36 and sent back into the deodorisation column A. The rest of the liquid, which is cooled, is sent into the circuit. <IMAGE>
