PURPOSE:To retrieve a character-string which is brought to the longest coincidence to the section, and to display the character-string obtained by this retrieval, in the lump by (n) pieces each, by indicating a section of a partial character-string of the character-string stored in a character-string storage part which desires rewriting, by a section designating part. CONSTITUTION:A titled device is provided with a character-string storage part 7 for storing temporarily a character-string,a rewriting information storage part 10 for storing plural character-strings corresponding to a partial character-string in the character-string which has been stored temporarily in the character-string storage part 7, with regard to plural partial character-strings, a section designating part 8 for storing the information for showing a section of an optional partial character-string in the character-string storage part 7, a rewriting retrieval part 11 for retrieving a character-string which is brought to the longest coincidence to the section shown by the section designating part 8, and setting a range of the partial character-string of the character-string storage part 7 corresponding to the character-string concerned, to the section designating part 8, and a batch display part 15 for displaying visibly the character-string stored in the rewriting information storage part 10 retrieved by the rewriting retrieval part 11, in the lump by two pieces each. In this way, a use can confirm what kind of character-string exists in the rewritable character-strings.
