发明名称 PREPARATION OF CYLINDRICAL CATALYST CARRIER
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance catalytic capacity and to increase mechanical strength, by winding fibrous ceramic, which has impregnated with colloidal silica, around an air non-permeable core material and subsequently drying said ceramic at 100 deg.C or less before sintering the same at 800 deg.C or more. CONSTITUTION:Fibrous ceramic is impregnated with colloidal silica and the impregnated one is wound around an air non-permeable core material such as a glass rod to form a cylindrical molded body. Subsequently, the molded body is slowly dried at 100 deg.C or less and, after the core material was pulled off, cut into an appropriate dimension. This cut molded body is sintered at 800 deg.C or more to form a catalyst carrier wherein the outside of the cylindrical molded body constitutes a structure relatively much in colloidal silica content and the inside thereof constitutes a structure relatively little in colloidal silica content and the inside contacted with gas is porous while the outside gas a relative dense structure to form a structure having mechanical strength as a whole.
