The invention relates to a light aircraft having two half-wings arranged on either side of an axial fuselage: each half-wing 2 comprises a shell 5a, 5b forming the lower surface and the upper surface of the said half-wing: the shell is made rigid via a spar 6 inserted between the upper surface 5a and the lower surface 5b the said spar 6 being arranged on edge, perpendicular to the mid plane of the half-wing 2 and in the area of maximum thickness of the latter and having one end projecting out of the said half-wing 2 on the same side as its connection with the fuselage, the said projecting extremity engaging in a gusset 11 carried by the said fuselage. <IMAGE>
