<p>PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be moved smoothly, by providing a coating of a specified silicone base releasable material on a synthetic rubber layer. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic rubber layer of a platen roll is coated with a silicone composition in which compounds of formulas 1, 2, 3, 4 and a catalytic amount of platinum or a platinum compound are mixed with each other as plastic silicone resin components in a weight ratio of 1:1-1:30. Since the surface of the platen roll thus obtained has the coated silicone base film having excellent releability and a low coefficient of friction, when the platen roll is used as a flat platen in a word processor or various printers, the paper will not adhere or stick to the platen. Accordingly, the paper is fed extremely smoothly, and adhesion of scum of dust is effectively prevented from occurring, resulting in an advantage of favorable printability on the surface of the paper.</p> |
