PURPOSE:To extend the life of a sliding valve by mounting an insert ring having a gas ejection part of the specific angle with the tangent of the wall of a passage hole of the above-mentioned valve or below into said hole and blowing an inert gas to prevent the hole from being clogged by a molten steel and formed alumina. CONSTITUTION:The insert ring 1 having the gas ejection part 4 of <=85 deg. with the tangent of the wall surface 3 of the molten steel passage hole of a bottom plate 9 is secured via a packing material 20 into said hole in a sliding valve mechanism for a molten steel ladle, etc. consisting of an insert nozzle 8, the bottom plate 9, a sliding plate 10 and a chute nozzle 11. The solidification of the molten steel when the sliding plate 10 is clogged is prevented by the inert gas ejected in the tangential direction from the ejection part 4. The hindrance of the flow by the alumina deposited in the outflow hule part is thus prevented. |
