PURPOSE:To allow high quality printing of oblique segments by controlling a dot printing position on one unit area, with the unit area divided into more than three position areas, and by coding in which position area a dot is to be positioned. CONSTITUTION:One unit area is divided into the position areas of (a), (b), (c), and the codes of [01], [10], [11] are given corresponding to the respective position areas when a dot is present, and the code [00] is given when the dot is not present in every position areas. A group of the data corresponding to a line number C3 about a figure 2 pattern is indicated by fig. 3A. Now, if it is assumed that a control circuit 2 is reading out that data, the group of the data is coded by a line number unit and the values are set to the latches 3a-3c in a form of B of fig. 3 respectively by the control circuit 2. The control circuit 2 is made such that the signals are generated being shifted timely such as the signals (l), (m), (n) from every pulse generators 7a-7c. |
