PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of a lathe by providing a pusher to deliver a linear corresponding to the size of a workpiece from a clamp means for holding the liner in free loading and unloading state. CONSTITUTION:The end of a centering shaft 22 is fitted in a shaft holder 14. Then, a lever 10 is rotated by a striker 30 to release a clamp bar 8 from clamping state. And then, a liner holder 33 is advanced to release a liner 7 from clamping state caused by a liner pressure 44. The released liner is inserted into the groove of a lower jaw 6 by a piston rod (not shown in the figure). Retracting and returning of the shaft 22 make the clamp bar 8 return and make the lower jaw 6 hold the liner 7.
