PURPOSE:To allow water to absorb a large amount of carbon dioxide, by providing an orifice on the way of the conduit connecting a water supply source and a calcareous water reservoir and connecting a carbon dioxide pipe to the downstream of the orifice. CONSTITUTION:When a water feed solenoid valve 3 is opened, water passes through an orifice to be reduced in pressure and passes through a conduit 2 filled with carbon dioxide, while accompanies turbulent flow action, to absorb carbon dioxide during this period. At this time, carbon dioxide is sucked into the conduit 2 by the ejector action of flowing water passing through said conduit 2 to promote the increase in gas content of carbonated water. The increase in the internal pressure of a water reservoir by the inflow of carbonated water leads out carbon dioxide to the conduit 2 from a pressure equalizing pipe 6a to substitute the same with carbonated water and keeps internal pressure during the manufacturing of carbonated water constant and enhances the dissolution of carbon dioxide in the conduit 2. By this method, calcareous water with a high gas volume can be prepared even if water feed pressure is low and, therefore, the safety degree to the damage of an equipment material is increased.
