PURPOSE:To positively fill ink nozzles with ink by a method wherein, a porous material member; an ink supply roller made of rigid body having a plurality of ink supply holes arranged radially from a center axis; and an ink supply positioned at the center axis which flow out the ink having been supplied to an ink feed hole; are provided. CONSTITUTION:An ink supply roller 12 has an ink supply tube 11 pressure-fitted axially therein, both ends of the shaft of the ink supply pipe extending therefrom are rotatably supported with bearings, and the ink supply roller is arranged in engagement an ink carrier sheet 3, wherein when ink is pressure-fed in from one end of said ink supply tube. When the ink is fed into the roller 11 under pressure from one end of the pipe 11, the pressed-in ink flows through the plurality of minute holes 12b, oozing out to the outer peripheral surface of the roller 12, and the ink is pressed into the holes pored on the ink support sheet 3. By rotating the roller 12 kept in contact with the ink support sheet, all of the holes 6 are filed with ink, thereby eliminating the possibility of generating thin spots or missing in a printed image. |
