Charger for groups of batteries having available a charge regulator with incorporated regulation. The method consists in separating, with an output diode 1, 2, 3, each battery group B1, B2, B3, in sensing the state of charge of each battery group B1, B2, B3 by means of an electronic control circuit 4 with a voltage bracket F with fixed deviation E and having a high point F2 and a low point F1, in regulating the voltage of the current with an electronic circuit 5 in such a way that the current in the least charged group is as high as possible without however oversupplying the most charged group. The reference voltage U is given by the electronic control circuit 4, and the circuit 5 for automatic intensity regulation regulates the intensity of the current on the basis of the reference voltage arising from the said electronic control circuit 4.
