<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of meandering and its accompanying camber on a rolled stock by arranging the main body of the width guide extending upto the vicinity of a work roll before and behind a horizontal rolling mill so as to enable the adjustment of the width with the plate width of the rolled stock. CONSTITUTION:The side guide device 7 is arranged between a side guide device 5 and horizontal rolling mill 1 and a side guide device 8 to a vertical type rolling mill 2 respectively, besides the side guide devices 5, 6 having the side guide main bodies 3, 4 whose widths are adjustable and being provided before and behind the rolling mill which is composed of a horizontal rolling mill 1 to roll the rolled stock 26 of cut plate shape, etc. and vertical type rolling mill 2 in the rolling mill. The main body 9 of the side guide of said side guide device 7 is extended upto the vicinity of the work roll 11 of the horizontal rolling mill 1 in a housing 10, adjusting the width with setting to the plate width of the rolled stock 17 by a driving device 14. on the other hand the main body 24 of the side guide of the side guide device 8 is made to make the width adjustable by a rolling reduction screw 18 as well as a vertical roll 23.</p> |
