PURPOSE:To provide the titled stowing device which permits automatic tuning to a drawing speed and is simplified in a control system by providing a cam clutch to the output shaft side of a motor for pulling up a dummy bar even if a motor of a driving device for pulling up the dummy bar and a motor of a driving device for drawing an ingot are not electrically synchronized. CONSTITUTION:The dummy bar 1 is drawn by pinch rolls 22, 22' and the juncture of the ingot 2 and the dummy bar 1 is rolled down by pinch rolls 21 to disconnect both after the start of a casting. On the other hand, the rotating speed of a roller 12 is made equal to the speed of the rolls 22, 22' or slightly lower than said speed by the effect of the cam clutch 11 and therefore the roller 12 is overun even if the top end B of the dummy bar 1 intrudes into the space between the rollers 12 and 13 of the dummy bar pulling up device. The dummy bar 1 is pulled up by the rotating speed of the bar and the roller 12 when the ingot 2 and the bar 1 are once disconnected. The rotation of the roller 12 is stopped in the position where the dummy bar contacts with a limit switch 24 for detecting an upper limit. |
