PURPOSE:To attain sure supervision by arranging a slit of a guide tube provided with the slit in the axial length direction opposite to a supervisory object and moving a side viewing fiber scope in the guide tube to direct accurately a supervisory section of the scope to the object and keep the section. CONSTITUTION:The guide tube 10 is constituted by butting and connecting sequentially unit tubes having a slit 10c over the entire length in the axial length direction, the slit 10c is arranged while being directed to a weld part T' of a tank T, and the fiber scope is loaded or removed through the guide. An image guide and a light guide are provided in a metallic flexible tube 2 constituting an outer shell of the fiber scope main body, the base end is guided in a drum 31 and an eyepiece 6 is loaded, a tip guide roll member 7 is mounted at the tip and plural intermediate guide roll members 8 are loaded toward the base end. A guide pin 7f is projected to the peripheray of the tip guide roll member 7 to hold a projecting window 5a and a supervisory window 5b to the attitude opposing to the welding part T' at all times.
