PURPOSE:To designate automatically a copy area of the blip mark system by switching automatically the area, where images are copied from a screen to a recording paper, to a prescribed area in the end part or the center part of the screen. CONSTITUTION:In the reader mode, the light from a light source 1 passes through a film F, and microimages IS and IL on the film are enlarged and projected onto a screen 5. In the print mode, a photosensitive drum 19 is slit- exposed to the light from the light source 1, and an enlarged electrostatic latent image of each image is formed on the drum 19. Images IS and IL of sizes A4 and A3 exist together continuously on the film F, and marks M for frame retrieval of images are imprinted there. A blip mark detecting sensor SM whose position can be switched to the center part or the front end part in the film feeding direction is provided for the screen 5 in accordance with marks M, and its position is switched in accordance with selection of a recording paper size. Thus, the copy area is automatically switched to the copy area of size A4 or A3.
