PURPOSE:To promote the lightness of weight in an expansion collective chamber while maintaining its rigidity, by using a sheet metal to prepare a reinforcing strut interposed between opposed wall surfaces in the expansion collective chamber of exhaust gas consisting of plural partial cases made of sheet metal. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust device has an expansion collective chamber 4 of exhaust gas, and the chamber 4 is constituted by assembling an upper and a bottom partial case 4a, 4b molded into a half divided shape by sheet metal work. And the chamber 4, interposing a plurality of struts 9 vertically over a space between each partial case 4a, 4b, increases the whole rigidity of the expansion collective chamber 4. Here each strut 9, being molded by a thin sheet metal, flexes a main unit 9a into a U-shaped section while vertically provides an adapted surface 9b. And the chamber 4 interposes each strut 9 connecting its vertical adapted surface 9b with an internal wall surface of each partial case 4a, 4b while fixes the main unit 9a with its protruded side F facing the front of a car body further recessed side R facing the rear of the car body, respectively.
