<p>PURPOSE:To realize stable combustion of a collected particle, by providing an injection means, which injects a combustion promoting fluid, in the upstream of a particulates filter provided in an exhaust system and equalizing an injection region of spray injected from said means. CONSTITUTION:In a device providing a particulates filter 3 for catching a combustible particle in exhaust gas in the half way part of an exhaust passage 2, said filter 3 provides in its upstream side in the exhaust passage 2 an injection equipment 6 injecting combustion promoting fluid of catalytic water solution hydrocarbon emulsion or the like. This injection equipment 6, being constituted by an injector 7, pump 9, pressure regulator 9a and a tank 10 or the like, is controlled by a control unit 14. And the injection equipment 6, controlling the pressure regulator 9a so as to change in stages a pressure of injection P1, P2, P3 (P1<P2<P3) during injection of the fluid and changing a spray angle of the injector 7, in this way enables the fluid to be uniformly supplied to the whole surface of the upstream end.</p> |
