PURPOSE:To execute sorting at high speed by using a value represented by input data as a storage address of a storage device to store the data into a corresponding address of the storage device thereby executing the sorting as soon as the input data is stored. CONSTITUTION:Data to be sorted is inputted to a data register 12 from an input/output terminal 11. Every time data is inputted to the register 12, a controller 16 copies the data to an address register 13 to store the data in the register 12 to a cell of the said address of a storage device 14 represented by the content of the register 13. Thus, the data inputted to the register 12 is stored in order to the cell of the same address as that of the said data in the storage device 14. When data is stored in the i-th cell of the storage device 14, an FF in a data storage state holding device 15 is set to logical 1 by a command from the controller 16. Through the operation above, the data are sorted and stored in the storage device as soon as all the data are inputted and the presence of the data is latched in the FF of the holding device 15.
