A truck (5) can travel along an outlet collecting channel (2) in a sewage treatment plant. On extendable guide rails (15), it carries a vertical support column (21), at the bottom end of which is held a washing truck (25) via a detachable support coupling (23). The washing truck (25) carries a brush unit (31) in which is mounted a driven brush (32). The washing truck (25) can be detached from the support coupling (23) and travels along one of a plurality of parallel outlet longitudinal channels (1) in order to clean these. After connecting the support coupling (23), the washing truck (25) is lifted out of the cleaned outlet longitudinal channel (1) and, by a movement of the truck (5), is brought into the next outlet longitudinal channel to be cleaned. <IMAGE>
