Wind power systems which have sails, or surfaces resembling sails, as a framework in one or other form and serve to concentrate or focus air currents onto the wind power systems. In addition, such sails represent in the case of maritime transport means, as also in the case of boats, yachts and the like, a wind-catching surface which not only as usual provide the driving force or serve the purpose of forward motion, but it is also the case that these sails simultaneously represent a wind trap for wind power machines by means of which electric current can be obtained. A further feature of this invention is represented by the newly coined term of "wind screw" such as is illustrated in Figure 2, as well as 3 and 4. <IMAGE>
