The rotating tooth brush can be produced as a plug-on part for different sizes of dentition. The plug connection to the handle (drive part) is easy to handle, so that the rotating tooth brush is also easy to exchange. Thus, only one manipulation is necessary in order to give every user of a family his/her own rotating tooth brush. In all tooth cleaning devices having rotating round brushes for the cleaning of the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth there is always only one tangential line of contact, i.e. the round brushes must always be moved upwards and downwards in order to achieve cleaning of the whole surface. Round brushes with a high speed of revolution which are guided from white to red injure the gum fairly severely and detach it gradually from the tooth. This results in formation of nests and points of attack for bacteria. The known vibrating tooth brushes have the same disadvantageous effect. The "red-white only method" using the rotating tooth brush eliminates such injuries and will probably contribute to considerable inhibition of caries.
