An electric tool, especially an angle grinder, has a drive motor (40) which is connected in series with a triac (40) and a measurement resistor (42), between two supply lines (43, 44). The output voltage of a rotation-speed desired-value potentiometer (45) controls the triac (40). The inputs of a comparator (60) are connected to the measurement resistor (42) and/or to a voltage divider (61, 62) which is used as a limit-value sensor. The comparator (60) also acts in a blocking manner on the triac (41) when the signal from the measurement resistor (42) reaches the limit value. The influence is cancelled again, such that the rise is delayed, by means of an RC element (63, 66). <IMAGE>
