Electromagnetic display device

An electromagnetic display device has a large number of tumbler flaps which are asymmetric with respect to the rotation axis and are arranged in the form of a matrix on a panel. A permanent magnet is fitted on the tumbler flap in the vicinity of the rotation axis. The tumbler flaps, which are supported such that they can rotate, move from a first position into a second position by means of a fixedly allocated electromagnet which is fitted behind the panel. Fitted on the panel is a network of recesses, four recesses in each case forming the corners of a square. The pin of a supporting pin is inserted into in each case one recess, which pin exhibits the supporting slots for the pin or pins of one or two adjacent tumbler flaps, the tumbler flaps in each case having a triangular shape, and this triangle being formed by the diagonal of the square.
