The invention relates to a control device for signal boxes by means of electrically locally-controlled points. This control device permits the driver of the locomotive or shunter to carry out rapid and operationally secure shunting journeys on signal box-operated track systems when the signal boxes are unmanned. The testing and switching of the points takes place via the preferred control units or by radio, a code which determines the points being passed on to the control box via remote control, being received and tested there by a switching system and the pulses for actuating the switching system present in the control box being triggered.
