The flexible web material has a textile, in particular synthetic base and a plastic coating, which comprises, in particular, polyvinyl chloride. The outside of the plastic coating is covered with a weathering-resistant final film of polyvinylidene fluoride. In order to simplify the process for the production of the web material, the final film for application comprises 8-12% by weight of polyvinylidene fluoride, 3-7% by weight of an acrylic polymer or copolymer, and about 85% by weight of a mixture of highly polar solvents.
