To simplify and accelerate the program selection possibilities and program triggering mechanisms used, which are needed for running various predetermined programs in, in particular, self-service points, automatic goods dispensers and apparatuses, the polygonal or round selection input disc marked on the sides and tangents is provided with a function-triggering preparation of a selection-determining and a selection-triggering part. The selection input disc contains the program selection in the marking of the sides or tangents. The determination and the triggering of the individual predetermined programs are effected in the associated selection receiving housing, selection receiving core or a selection receiving device adapted to the selection input disc, by deliberate coincidence of the conductive material incorporated in the selection input disc with the program-connecting wait contact or wait mechanism arranged in the selection receiving housing, the selection receiving core or in the selection receiving device. The selection input disc with a preparation on one side half or tangent half has the advantage that, by using the top and bottom, twice the number of program sequences as with a selection input disc prepared on one side or tangent can be achieved.
