Sulphonation of ortho-nitrochlorobenzene, para-nitrochlorobenzene and ortho-nitrotoluene

Ortho-nitrochlorobenzene, para-nitrochlorobenzene and ortho-nitrotoluene are monosulphonated using preferably liquid SO3 without admixing inert gas and without an additional use of solvents for the aromatic compound or the SO3, the process being carried out in the presence of a suitable inhibitor.
