The invention relates to a device for producing flexible diaphragms, the device having a vulcanising mould which receives the diaphragm and has two mould halves and being provided with at least one permanent magnet to apply the mould clamping force. In order to achieve the optimum mould clamping force, it is proposed for the permanent magnet or permanent magnets to be attached directly or indirectly to one mould half and for the adhesive faces of the permanent magnets to be located laterally outside the mould cavity with the diaphragm and, when the mould is closed, to lie directly against the face of a metal piece which is frictionally connected to the other mould half.
