PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely and automatically feed a plate-like material to a predetermined position, in a device for feeding IC lead frame, etc., by engaging a pilot pin in a pilot hole in the plate-like material when the feed by kick blocks becomes stable. CONSTITUTION:When a plate-like material 8 is set on a running guide 7, kick blocks 30, 31 detect the material 8, and a motor 20 drives a chain 21 so that a slide block 5 is moved by means of a chain holder 25 and a spring 23. Therefore, the material 8 is moved rightward by being pressed by the kick block 31. When a proximity switch 29 detects the front end 25b of the chain holder, a pilot pin 17 is projected downward by the operation of an air cylinder 13, and therefore, is engaged in a pilot hole 8b in the material 8. Then, upon abutting against a stopper screw 27 the material 8 once stops while it compresses the spring 23. When the axis of a sprocket 19 and the axis of the holder base 25a are aligned together, the holder 25 is released from a plunger 26 and is then rotated. When a proximity switch 30 detects the front end 25b of the base, the material is accurately positioned and the pin 17 is pulled out.
