PURPOSE:To enable reliable automation of tying of a wire material, by a method wherein, in an automatic reeling machine for a metallic wire, after a linear material, grasped by a wire material grasping tool, is caused to pass through a ring of a linear material hooked by a hook member, the linear material is unhooked from the hook member, and the wire material grasping tool is rotated in a direction reverse to the take-up direction of a reel. CONSTITUTION:After reeling of a linear material 2 around a reel 1 is completed, reeling is brought to a stop. A rotary body 13 is started to rotate so that it hooks a linear material 2, a device body is moved so as to be spaced away from the reel 1while a hook member 14 hooks the linear material 2 and performs about 1/2-1 full rotation, and when it performs 1.3/4 rotation, the linear material 2 is brought into a state in that it hooks with a wire material grasping tool 15. The grasping tool 15 is moved within the hollow part of the hook member 14, and the linear material 2 is held between the nip formed by a hook part of the grasping tool and the forward end of the hook member 14. In which case, a check 3 nips the linear material 2 to cut the linear material by means of a cutter 4, and the hooking member 14 is retracted into the hollow part of the head part of the rotary body 13 in a nipped condition. This causes the end part of the linear material 2 to pass through the ring of the linear material, and further rotation causes the linear material to be tied on the reel 1. |
