<p>Disclosed is a novel anthracycline compound of the following formula (I):
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="62" wi="79" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry><UnorderedLists id="ula01" listStyle="none"><ListItem>wherein R' and R<Sup>2</Sup> are each a hydroxyl group or a hydrogen atom and satisfy the condition that, when R<Sup>2</Sup> is a hydroxyl group, R' is a hydroxyl group or a hydrogen atom, whereas,</ListItem><ListItem>when R<Sup>2</Sup> is a hydrogen atom, R' is a hydrogen atom, or an acid addition salt thereof.</ListItem></UnorderedLists></p><p>These compounds can be contained as active ingredients in antitumor agents, whereby good results are attainable.</p> |
