<p>PURPOSE:To use a tape player in safety by providing an inhibiting mechanism which inhibits a lock mechanism from operating while a cassette drawing-in mechanism in an improper state between a cassette holder and a lock mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The inhibiting mechanism consists of a projection part 71 piercing the inward raised part 2b of a fitting plate which inhibits the lock mechanism from operating by disabling a rotary lever 29 from rotating owing to the attraction of an attracted plate 27 by a spring 69 and an electromagnet 35 when a cassette holder 3 is contacted on its flank in an improper state wherein the holder does not reaches a lower play position. Even when the cassette holder 3 is inhibited from moving down because of the presence of foreign matter W and the projection 63 engages a guide groove 64, an ejection member 17 is moved by a displacing member 71 back against a spring 76 and the projection part 71 inhibits the locking operation of the lock mechanism, so the ejection member is not locked even when moving back. Consequently, the tape player is operated in safety and mechanical and electric troubles are eliminated.</p> |
