PURPOSE:The titled composition that is obtained by adding a specific urethane oligomer diacrylate and a specific monofunctional acrylate, thus being suitable for coating optical fibers, because of its low elasticity at low temperatures, high water and heat resistances. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by adding (A) 30-70wt% of urethane oligomer diacrylate having polytetramethylene ether structure of more than 1,000mol.wt. between urethane bond and (B) 70-30wt% of a monofunctional acrylate such as octylphenyl cellosolve acrylate of the formula (n is positive integer; R is 8-12C alkyl). Component A is e.g., a product from a diisocyanate, polytetramethylene ether glycol of more than 1,000 number- average molecular weight and a hydroxyalkyl acrylate. The diisocyanate used here is preferably tolylene diisocyanate.
