PURPOSE:To improve erosion resistance to waves, by a method wherein a plate body made of a flexible material is attached to cover the surface, washed by waves, of breakwater and an underwater structure therewith. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing plate 20 is buried in a base material 18 formed by a flexible material, such as rubber, to form a small plate body 16. Plural holes are formed in the surface, washed by waves, of a breakwater body 12. After a pile pipe 24 is driven into the hole, the small plate bodies 16 are attached to the surface of the body 12, and bolts 34 are inserted through openings in the 4 corners and the central part of the small plate body 16 to threadedly insert the bolt into the female thread part of the pile pipe 24 for fastening of the small plate body 16. The small plate body 16 is secured to the surface of the body 12 to form a plate body 14. |
