PURPOSE:To provide a composition having remarkably improved flame- retardance without lowering the properties of the base resin, by compounding a specific phosphorus-containing compound to a mixture of a polyphenylene ether resin and a styrene resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a resin composition composed of a polyphenylene ether resin and a styrene resin (preferably a rubber-modified high-impact polystyrene) with (B) 0.5-20pts.wt. of a phosphorus-containing compound of formula (X is 1-6C alkylene, arylene, imino, O or S; Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4 are 1-8C alkyl, aryl or alkoxy; Z is O or S; k, l, m and n are 0-4) or its mixture with an aromatic phosphoric acid ester. |
