PURPOSE:To enable cargo handling by a normal reach crane for a container ship with a wide hull by providing broadsides on the upper deck of the ship with an inside frame and enabling an outside frame truck slidably fit to the inside frame and freely movable in the direction of the width of hull while sliding on the inside frame to carry a container thereon. CONSTITUTION:There are provided an inside frame 2 on both the broadsides on the upper deck of a container ship with a wide hull and also an outside frame truck 1 slidably fit to the inside frame 2 and freely movable in the direc tion of the width of the ship. The outside frame truck 1 is freely movable by means of a drive mechanism S comprising a drive motor, a chain wheel, a chain, and the like. Moving the outside frame truck 1 toward the middle of the hull width while carrying a container on the truck 1 enables a normal reach gantly crane to perform the cargo handling of the container.
