PURPOSE:To stabilize a recording film and to extend the life thereof by forming the recording film consisting of specific Te and TiOx on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The optical recording medium is formed by fixing the transparent substrate 2 formed with the recording film 1 consisting of Te(100-y)(TiOx)y (where, 0<x<=2, 2<=y<=15; x, y denote molar %) on the inside surface and a protective film 3 apart at a specified spacing by means of two annular spacers 4, 5 on the substrate. The substrate 2 consists of an acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin, glass, etc. and the film 1 is formed by a vapor deposition, sputtering method, etc. on the substrate 2 to 300-500Angstrom film thickness. The optical recording medium having the characteristics stable for a long period of time is thus obtd. |
