PURPOSE:To provide a sublimation transfer material for yellow color of three primary colors which has appropriate sublimability, a high coloring capability and excellent light resistance, by using at least one specified coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A coloring matter of the general formula, wherein X is hydrogen or methyl, and R is hydrogen or alkyl such as methyl, ethyl and n-propyl, is used. The coloring matter can be obtained by formylating an armatic amine by the Vilsmeier reaction, and condensing the formylated compound with malononitrile. In a working example, an ink composition comprising 6 parts of ethyl cellulose, 2 parts of the coloring matter, 70 parts of xylene and 18 parts of n-butanol was sufficiently keneaded by a paint conditioner, then the resultant material was applied to a condenser paper in a thickness of 10mum by a bar coater, followed by drying to obtain a transfer material. The transfer material was opposed to a paper coated with a polyethylene terephthalate resin, and was heated by heating element, whereby a clear yellow image with high density was obtained on the paper. |
