PURPOSE:To obtain a non-heat treatment type high strength Al alloy by adding specified amounts of Mg, Cu, Zn and one or more among Mn, Cr, Zr, V, Ti and B to Al. CONSTITUTION:The composition of an Al alloy ingot is composed of, by weight, 2-3.5% Mg, 1-2% Cu, 4-6% Zn, one or more among 0.05-1% Mg, 0.05-0.3% Cr, 0.05-0.3% Zr, 0.01-0.2% V, 0.005-0.5% Ti and 0.0005-0.05% B, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. The alloy ingot is hot rolled as usual and the resulting plate of a prescribed thickness is softened and cold worked at >=15% working rate.
