PURPOSE:To reduce both heat transfer and thermal efficiency drops and fluid conveyance hampering along with frequent operation stop and cleaning, by feeding a coking inhibitor containing specific (mixed) compound into hydrocarbon-treating process. CONSTITUTION:The objective prevention can be accomplished by feeding an anti-coking agent containing, as an active ingredient, compound(s) of formula I and/or II (R1-R8 are each H, 1-30C alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkanol, aralkyl or alkenyl; x is integer 1-6) to the equipment for hydrocarbon-treating process (e.g., purification, separation, extraction, desulfurization, reforming, polymerization, pyrolysis, catalytic decomposition, synthetic reaction, etc.).
