PURPOSE:To eliminate the work of exchanging a colorimetric reflector, by adjusting the angle thereof for changes in the color tone of selection material to be separated. CONSTITUTION:A colorimetric reflector 5 is provided rotatably in a selection mechanism and the set angle thereof is changed by the operation of a lever 8 to vary the angle to a light source 4 facing it sandwiching an orbit of dropping selection material: When the colorimetric reflector 5 is at the right angle to the light from the light source 4, the intensity of illumination reaches the maximum thereof and reduces as the colorimetric reflector 5 is inclined. Thus, the brightness of the colorimetric reflector 5 can be varied and when the color tone of the selection material to be separated changes, the optimum detection state of a photoelectric conversion element 3 can be maintained by adjusting the angle of the colorimetric reflector 5 properly. |
