<p>PURPOSE:To increase the flexural rigidity of the annular air chamber of a liferaft by partitioning the annular air chamber into two air chambers and making the annular air chamber have a circular cross section. CONSTITUTION:The annular air chamber 12 of a liferaft is equally partitioned by a vertical diaphragm 10 into an inside and outside air chambers 12a and 12b, respectively. Floor air chambers 4 are fixed to the bottom of the annular air chamber. Since the annular air chamber 12 has a circular cross section and the vertical diaphragm 10 therein, the geometrical moment of inertia and therefore the flexural rigidity of the annular air chamber are increased.</p> |
