MANUFACTURING APPARATUS OF SPRING

PURPOSE:To form springs specified the diameter and pitch of a spiral optionally by putting a couple of moving bodies on a guide rail and setting a fixture provided with a holding mechanism of wire rod and a forming roller on the moving bodies. CONSTITUTION:A couple of the moving bodies 87 are run on the guide rail 83. The bodies 87 are provided with a holding rollers 135 which hold both ends of a wire 27 and a mechanism holding the center of the wire 27 to prevent the wire rod 27 from sliding in the axial direction. The fixture 154 equipped with the forming roller 153 is set on the moving bodies 87 and a bend is formed at the end of the wire rod 27. A couple of the moving bodies 87 are run in the direction in which the bodies approach each other to bend and form both ends of the wire rod 27 delivered from the holding rollers 135 relatively into a spiral. A diameter and pitch of the spiral are determined by a guide body on the moving bodies and a pitch bar 155, respectively. The apparatus produces plenty of springs for mattresses and others from one wire.
