PURPOSE:To perform easily interleaving to improve the write capacity by providing an ECC check bit generating circuit for overall write operation and that for partial write operation. CONSTITUTION:A storage device is provided with banks 16 and 17, an ECC check correcting circuit 21, and the first and the second ECC check bit generating circuits 11 and 12 and is so constituted that the overall write operation can be performed even just after the partial write operation. the ECC check correcting circuit 21 checks and corrects read data. The ECC check bit generating circuit 11 generates an ECC check bit for overall write, and the ECC check bit generating circuit 12 generates an ECC check bit for partial write. |
