1,125,093. Cobalt ferrite. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK. A.G. 7 Jan., 1966 [9 Jan., 1965], No. 777/66. Heading C1A. [Also in Divisions C7 and H1] Cobalt ferrite is produced by adding to a solution containing a Co II salt and an Fe III salt (with an atomic ratio of Co II : Fe III of 0À8 : 2 to 1À8 : 2) a caustic alkali solution in such an amount that the pH reaches at least 12À8, heating the resultant precipitate to above 50‹ C., and separating and drying the precipitate. Up to 80% of the Co II salt may be replaced by Fe II salt. The caustic alkali may be added to Fe III salt solution alone, the Co II salt being added when the neutral point has been reached. The caustic alkali is preferably added in stages and preneutralisation with ammonia may be employed.
|
