PURPOSE:To well manage the message identification number by updating autonomously the serial number of the input given from the terminal at the starting time of the communication, but thereafter, the inputted serial number on the exchange side for the following messages. CONSTITUTION:Receiving the first message from any terminal, a store and forward switching equipment takes the serial-number-management recording number, and writes 'occupied' in the vacant/occupied displaying area in the serial-number management recording, and sets the serial-number-management number. The equipment also receives the destination of communication, and performs the reception recording of the message. At this point of time, the voice store and forward switching equipment quests if the allocation of the serial number is done on the terminal or on its own side. If the allocation on the terminal side is requested, it is performed by the operator at the terminal. But if it is requested on the equipment side, the switching equipment informs the terminal of the content of the terminal-allocated serial number register 14 making it the serial number. |
