PURPOSE:To prevent charge up on the surface of a non-magnetic cylinder which is a developer carrying body and to improve the durability thereof by coating a fluororesin dispersed therein with pulverous conductive powder on the surface of said cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the non-magnetic cylinder (sleeve) 5 disposed in a developer layer to face the latent image carrying body is constituted of a non- magnetic conductive base body 1 consisting of aluminum or stainless steel, etc., the fluororesin 2 such as PFA coated on the body 1 and the pulverous carbon powder 3 dispersed in the fluororesin. Magnetic particles 8 are attracted to the sleeve 5 side by the magnetic force of a magnet roller 6 and are conveyed by the sleeve 5 as the sleeve rotates in an arrow (a) direction. The conveyed particles 8 are prevented from leakage from a developer tank 4 by a control blade 7 consisting of a magnetic material and the magnetic force of the magnetic pole N of the roller 6 and are pushed back in an arrow (b) direction by gravity. Only the non-magnetic toner 9 is thus uniformly coated into a thin layer shape on the sleeve 5. The toner 9 is transferred to the developing position where facing the latent image carrying body 10 as the sleeve 5 rotates. The toner is thus used for development. |
