PURPOSE:To produce cellulase by culturing a specific microbial cell resistant to tolnaftate. CONSTITUTION:Cellulase is produced by culturing a mutant Acremonium cellulolyticus TN strain (FERM BP-685) resistant to tolnaftate. The cellulase- productivity of the strain is about 3 times that of the mother strain in the case of avicellase and CMC-ase, and about twice in the case of beta-glucosidase. |
