PURPOSE:To start quickly a program and to modify and correct the program by connecting an electrically erasable EEROM cartridge to an external storage device connecting connector. CONSTITUTION:Data transferred into a RAM2 passes a common bus 6 and is written in an EEROM cartridge 40; and even if a personal computer 10 is switched off and contents of the RAM2 are lost, contents of the EEROM cartridge 40 are held. When the personal computer 10 is switched on thereafter, contents of the EEROM cartridge 40 are used through the common bus 6, and the personal computer 10 can starts the operation immediately. Contents of the EEROM cartridge 40 can be erased electrically, and programs stored there are easily modified.
